Free to see. Fixed price to keep. Leave whenever you like.
Most of the anxiety about getting a website built is about money: what it will cost, whether it will be worth it, and how hard it will be to get out. Here is our answer to all three, plus a straight word on how we compare.
Everything up to the preview
Telling us about your business, us building the site, and the round of changes after you have seen it. All free. There is no card, no deposit and no contract at this stage, and most of the work happens here.
Setting it up
A single fee covering the build: the conversations before it, the design, the styling and the launch onto your domain. You are quoted a fixed figure for your specific site after you have seen it, so there is nothing to guess at.
Keeping it running
Monthly, or yearly if you prefer to pay once. It covers hosting, the domain setup, the secure certificate, updates, and fixing anything that breaks. Your dashboard is part of this, not an add-on.
Why there is no price list on this page
Because we would have to invent one. A one-page site for a plumber and a shop with three hundred products are not the same job, and a number on a page would either be too high for the first or a lie about the second. You get a real figure for your real site, after we have both looked at it.
On price
We are cheaper than an agency and we are not pretending otherwise. A studio this size has no account managers, no sales team and no office to pay for, and a build that would be quoted in the thousands elsewhere is not quoted that way here. What you are not getting for that is a worse site. You are getting the same site without the overheads attached to it.
- Quoted per site, so you are not subsidising someone else's bigger job
- The dashboard is included, not sold back to you as a module
- No charge for small fixes, ever
How to leave
Worth reading before you start, not after.
You tell us you are stopping and that is the whole process. We do not ask for a month, or two months, or a reason.
The site runs to the end of the month you have already paid for, then stops. Nothing further to pay, and we do not refund the month in progress.
We refund the whole months you did not use, proportionally. If you paid for a year and leave after five months, the remaining seven come back to you.
Your domain and your content, always. Not the code or the hosting. If you ask, we will write up your site's design so another developer can rebuild something close to it.
What support actually means
We answer within a week, usually much sooner. If something on your site breaks, fixing it is included and you are not billed for it. We do not publish an uptime percentage because we are a small studio and we would rather not put a number on this page that we cannot personally guarantee at three in the morning.
Questions owners ask first.
Q1 Is the preview really free?
Yes, genuinely free. We build a real, working version of your site and send you a private link, and you pay nothing to see it. We build it because we are confident you will want to keep it once you have. If you do not, there is no bill and nothing to cancel.
Q2 How much does it cost if I want to keep it?
There are two numbers and you see both before you agree to anything. A one-time setup fee for the build itself, and a recurring fee that covers hosting, keeping it running and fixing anything that breaks. Both are quoted for your specific site once you have seen the preview, so you are never agreeing to a figure before you know what you are getting.
Q3 Is it expensive?
Less than an agency, by a wide margin, and we would rather say that plainly than dance around it. We are a small studio with no sales team and no office, and the price reflects that rather than reflecting a worse job. The preview is the honest test: you see exactly what the money buys before any of it is owed.
Q4 What if I want to stop?
You stop. There is no notice period. On a monthly plan the site runs to the end of the month you have already paid for and then stops, with nothing further to pay. On a yearly plan we refund the whole months you did not use. We think asking for two months' notice after someone has decided to leave is not a fair way to treat people.
Q5 How long does it take?
Your first preview usually comes back within a few days of telling us about your business. After that it is a short back-and-forth: you ask for changes, we make them, and you go live whenever you are happy. There is no rush from our side.
Q6 Do I own the site and my domain?
The domain is yours and stays yours. We never register it in our name, transfer it, or take over your nameservers. If you leave you keep the domain and your content. What you do not get is the code or the hosting setup, since that is the thing you are paying us to run. On request we will write up your site's design so someone else could rebuild it.
Q7 What if I do not like the preview?
Then we change it. That is the whole point of building it first. Tell us what is off, however is easiest, and we fix it. If it is still not for you after that, you walk away owing nothing.
Q8 Can I update the site myself later?
Yes, and this is a bigger part of what you are buying than people expect. You get a login to a dashboard where you change your content, and it goes live immediately. It installs on your phone like an app. You will not need to call a developer or pay to fix a typo.
Q9 Can the site be in more than one language?
Yes. Each language gets its own proper web address rather than a translate button that mangles your words. Useful if you serve visitors as well as locals.
Q10 Who handles hosting and the technical side?
We do. We host the site, put it on your own domain, and set up the secure HTTPS certificate so visitors see the lock icon. You never touch a server. If something breaks it is our job to fix it, and that is what the recurring fee is for.
Q11 What kind of businesses is this for?
Small and local ones: restaurants and cafes, shops, salons, clinics, trades, studios, guesthouses, clubs and local services. If you serve a town and want a site that actually looks like your place, you are the right fit.
Q12 What do you need from me to start?
Whatever you have. Your business name, logo, a few photos, and a link to your current site or socials is plenty. If something is missing we work with what you have got and ask when we need more.
Q13 Do you only build for businesses?
No. Personal sites and portfolios are a real part of what we do, and the free preview works the same way for them. If you are a photographer, a designer, an architect, a writer, or you just want a proper address of your own instead of a profile on someone else's platform, ask.
Q14 What if what I want is not on your list?
Ask anyway. The list is where most people start, not a menu you have to order from. If it is a website, the odds are good we can build it, and if it genuinely is not something we should take on we will say so rather than take your money.
Tell us about your business. We will build the rest.
Fill in what you know and we take it from there. We will build you a real, working site with the panel behind it, and send you the link.
Got it.
We will start on your preview and email you the link.
