What this site stores on your device

The short version: this site sets no cookies. The one thing it may store is a small note that you dismissed the notice bar, so it does not keep reappearing.

No tracking cookies

There are no advertising trackers, no third-party marketing cookies, and no cross-site tracking here. We do not use anything that follows you around the web.

Functional storage

When you press OK on the notice bar, your browser keeps a single entry in local storage (named arcaptyp.legal.notice-ack) so the bar stays dismissed. It records nothing about you, only that you clicked OK and when. This kind of strictly functional storage does not need consent, which is why the bar informs rather than asks.

Analytics without cookies

We run Plausible, an analytics tool hosted on our own servers, to count visits in aggregate: pages opened, rough country, and how people arrive. It works without cookies and without storing anything on your device, and it cannot identify you. That is the reason there is no accept-or-reject dialog on this site; there is nothing to accept.

Resetting your choice

If you want the notice bar back, clear this site's data in your browser settings. Nothing else changes; the site works the same either way.
